Assessment
Build the measured side
of your profile.
Right now one skill can be measured from a single clip: transition & resets, within minutes. Dinks, hands and serves are measured in the full Assessment, one continuous recording of the four drills. Every drill becomes measured evidence on the same profile as your match uploads: your rating comes from match footage, the Assessment deepens your skill profile and your coaching.
Next best step
Transition & resets clip.
Start deep at the baseline. On each feed, reset and work your way up to the kitchen line. About six trips. Measured on its own within minutes.
Measure transition & resets nowSkill areas
Only what we could measure from your clips, never a made-up score. Two ways in, stated up front:
Measure this skill now · single clip
Court position needs no sound baseline, so one clip is enough. Film with all four corners in frame.
- Not started
Transition & resets
Your court position: how long each trip to the kitchen line takes and how settled you are once there.
Measured in the full Assessment
Counting contacts reliably needs the sound baseline a longer recording gives us, so a clip on its own is saved as evidence-only and not measured. Measured rhythm comes from the full Assessment.
- Not started
Dinks
Your dink rhythm: how many contacts, how evenly spaced they are, and how often the exchange breaks down.
- Not started
Hands
Your volley rhythm: contacts, spacing, and how often the exchange breaks down.
- Not started
Serves
How many serves we pick up and how evenly you space them.
One profile, two kinds of evidence
Upload Match
Real match footage. This is where your provisional rating and your coaching plan come from.
Assessment clips
Structured drills on the same profile. Today: transition & resets measured from a single clip; dinks, hands and serves measured in the full Assessment. A single clip of those three is saved as evidence-only, and we say so before you upload.
Your rating comes from match footage. Assessment evidence builds your skill profile and informs your coaching; it does not change your rating today, and we will say so plainly when it starts to.
Filming a clip
- Phone in landscape, chest height, on a fence clip or tripod behind your own baseline
- All four court corners in frame if you can — it lets us measure court position
- Two people on court: you on the near side, your partner feeding from the far side
- One ball. If it dies, fetch it and carry on — the pause is part of the measurement
- A quiet court: no active play on the courts beside you
- Record at 1080p rather than 4K — it uploads faster and measures just as well

The full Assessment.
One continuous recording, all four drills in order, without stopping: say the drill number, then start. The times are how long to spend on each drill inside that one recording. Every drill counts as a sample for its skill area.

The drills add up to about 3:45 of play; with pauses the recording is usually 4 to 5 minutes. It takes us longer to measure than a single-skill clip.
